A neighborhood that grows
its own roots
Forty-two homes below the Flatirons, six miles from Boulder.
Where neighbors look out for each other, share the work of the land, and know each other by name.
Our Vision
Conscious community, deliberately built
At Nyland, we know that community is what sustains us. Our kids play in each other’s houses, we give each other rides to the airport, and we play music and dance together. It’s in those moments of togetherness that we find our truest selves.
From Above
An island of trees and open sky, six miles from Boulder
Take a fly-over of the whole community — 36 acres of farmland, gardens, and tree-lined pathways below the Front Range.
Who We Are
Neighbors you actually know
Nyland is a cohousing community of 42 privately owned homes on 36 acres outside Boulder, with an expansive view of the Rocky Mountains. Our 135 residents bring varied backgrounds, careers, ages, and views — and share one desire: to live near neighbors they know. We offer each other support and friendship while respecting privacy. Our common vision is a safe community where children play on the pedways, neighbors lend a hand, and we steward the gift of our acreage together.

In Their Words
“I love the fact that I can’t walk anywhere without having a conversation with someone!”
