Land Work Days

Six times a year, residents gather for a morning of work on our land. While we do a lot of weeding, mulching, pruning, etc; it is really more about making Nyland a better place to live and connecting with our neighbors through shared work. Even the kids love joining in the joyous energy of working together.

Each resident is expected to attend at least two land work days per year. But many enjoy it so much they attend all four. They usually last four hours from 9am to 1pm on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

The members of the Nyland community create guidelines and informal agreements about how we want to relate as neighbors, and about what kind of community we aspire to be. These guidelines and agreements are separate from the legal policies of the Nyland Community Association and its Board of Directors. Community guidelines are not HOA governance documents; they represent members’ intentions and aspirations for the community norms we want to foster, and they are not legally binding.
