Nyland Common House Use

Partial Opening of the CH Phase 1 

 in accordance with Boulder County and CDC Code Blue recommendations.

Since our last COVID update, Boulder County has gone into Code Blue.  

 The Boulder County & CDC Current Recommendations:

The common house at Nyland Cohousing community is available for rental by residents only at this time. 

Opening CH to small groups: 

  1. Wear a mask while in the CH building. 

  2. Social Distance, sit or stand 6 feet apart.

  3. Groups up to 10 people allowed while wearing masks.

  4. Masks may be removed if 80% of people in CH have been vaccinated. *see below

  5. Sanitize surfaces of the area used when you are in the CH.

  6. To use the CH please reserve rooms by signing up on the website. 

* As per the Colorado Government recent update: Colorado Masks:

“Individuals are permitted to remove their masks in public indoor spaces if 80% of the individuals in the space have shown proof of vaccination, even if there are 10 or more unvaccinated individuals in the space.” Nylanders will use the honor code for this.

There are four primary areas for rent in the common house.


  1. The main floor dining hall and living room

  2. The downstairs multipurpose room, craft room, and workout room

  3. The den

  4. The upstairs meditation room and office


The Common House has "quiet hours" between 10 pm and 7 am. If a private party or event is scheduled to continue after 10 pm, the Guest rooms will need to be reserved as well.

Pavilion reservations are made directly in the calendar. Go to the Calendar page, select the Pavilion calendar and add your event but please be mindful of existing reservations and do not schedule on top of someone else's event.

Please make sure you read all the information on the website before making your reservations. After requesting a reservation online, you will receive an email within 1-2 days, confirming that your reservation has been made and entered into our calendar. We ask at that time you review the calendar and confirm the reservation has been correctly entered.  If you do not hear back by day 3, please resubmit your request.
