Please feel free to join in on any of the following events as a way to get to know Nyland better and to meet some residents.

Community Meals:
We often have community dinners on Sunday evenings at 6pm. Please send an email via the “Contact Us” tab for more information.

Community Meetings:
A great way to learn more about Nyland is to join us for a community meeting. Please feel free to just show up, introduce yourself and observe Nyland in action, although I would suggest sending an email via our “Contact Us” tab to confirm that the meeting has not been canceled. We meet on the main floor of the common house in the dining room from 8:30am until noon. The following is a list of planned community meetings for 2010:

Land Work Days:
Another great way to meet residents is to join us for a land workday. Please feel free to just show up, introduce yourself, and join in the fun, although I would suggest sending an email via our “Contact Us” tab to confirm that the workday has not been canceled. We meet in the circle at the very end of Nyland Way at 9:00am and work together until 1:00. You will quickly find yourself chatting away with residents as you help out with weeding, mulching, trimming, etc. Afterward, we all gather for a BBQ and lots of conversation. Bring along a sun hat, work gloves and a water bottle. Snacks will be provided mid-morning. Kids are also welcome as they either join in on a kid oriented project or help out their parents.
